WHEN GOD TAKES THE SHOW
This is my God kissed smile!
When God steps in, you can be certain that He will wreck the hearts of all in the room! That’s what happened the very first full day of the retreat.
We went in with an agenda. We would have worship, I would deliver the life-changing message that I felt the Lord had given me, we would pray and move on to the next part of our plan. But, wait……then we did the most important thing to do, we surrendered our wills to His will and gave Him permission to have His perfect way in the place. And He did, for sure.
I had the great opportunity to host a second women’s prayer retreat this past weekend. The team went in expecting an outpouring of the Spirit of the Lord —and that is what we received! The very first night, when the prayer team gathered to pray, the Lord had SO much to say to us! And, boy, did we listen. Then He did exactly what He said He wanted to do, and more.
That’s one of the many characteristics of God that I love so much. He is faithful and true to His Word. We don’t have to walk in fear and doubt because if it’s in His word, it shall come to pass. He promised me that if I would follow Him and not try to lead, He would direct my steps. That’s how Created To Pray was birthed. Numbers 23:19 tells us this: God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
He has proven this many times in my personal life. And He proved it again when I had the opportunity to share my testimony at the retreat. I had a totally different message prepared for the next day, Sunday, yet when He said to me, “share your story,” I replied, emphatically with a “YES, SIR.”
I proceeded to share my story of brokenness from a very early age up until about 20 years ago when I allowed Him to heal me of anger, bitterness and complete brokenness.
Before, I served Him in ministry, never revealing the things above. He will still use you even in your brokenness because He loves you that much. But, His true desire is that you would serve Him through FREEDOM from the anger, bitterness, and brokenness. He desires our complete surrender to His will for our lives so that others can see His glory through us. This is how disciples are multiplied. He took my brokenness, and turned it into an anointed testimony that would set women young and old FREE this past weekend.
What’s your story? What part of you do you need to surrender to the Lord for complete wrecking? He will do the same works that He did this weekend for every woman that was in attendance at the prayer retreat. He took all that we had to offer, our complete fellowship with Him, in spite of our brokenness, and He set us FREE. We are free to walk in wholeness, and free to love and be loved with a kiss from heaven.
He is my ABBA FATHER!
